Our Mission
 
ecoeye is committed to protecting our natural world. We initiate and support focused awareness campaigns and generate media to halt the unsustainable consumption of our resources and the cruel abuse of life on earth.  There is an increasing environmental burden from insatiable resource demand.  The negative impacts of this are especially evident in the third world where the financial incentives are irresistible, and the control and restrictions are less rigourous.  We acknowledge resource utilisation is an essential aspect of job creation, but are adamant that it should be done in a legal, thoughtful, caring and sustainable manner. Harnessing all media platforms, we aim to expose those who are damaging, exploiting and ultimately destroying our world for what is often just short term gain.  Through our own projects and by working with other concerned individuals, and organisations, we investigate and uncover damaging practices and broadcast them to the world.  Using films, documentaries, radio, newspapers, magazines and the internet, we broadcast to a global audience. The internet is particularly useful as it crosses historical boundaries and allows not only viewing but global participation. This enables the building of international virtual communities of dedicated teams, tackling specific issues.   Our media network allows us to bring a great deal of pressure to bear on organisations and individuals, who would otherwise carry on these activities regardless. ecoeye will not assist organisations whose focus is on soliciting funds under the guise of helping the environment.  We are a not-for-profit organisation at the front-line of the environmental movement, and take this responsibility very seriously.  The time has come to stand up and do something proactive, to defend our planet and its inhabitants.
